Why did you join Thurlby Tigers FC?
I have 3 Boys and all 3 love football like myself, a coach was stepping down from my eldest lads team so started to help out.
What positions(s) do you hold within the club?
Football Coach.
What coaching qualifications do you have?
FA Level 1.
What do you enjoy most/least about the role you play for your club?
I love seeing the Children playing footballing, smiling and doing what they love, playing the beautiful game how it should be played.
What is your favourite Thurlby Tigers memory?
Last season feeling proud of our U12s from being 2v0 down at half time vs Holbeach, to come back 2nd half and win 3v2 with the last kick of the game.
Which professional team do you support?
Everton FC.
Who have you played football for?
I never really played for teams as a child only school, my main sport growing up and in my late 20s was 8ball pool, i was a Lincolnshire County player for 12years, A team Captain and a 2xs National Team Champions🏆 🎱.
Which do you prefer, coaching or playing? Why?
Coaching, it’s so rewarding seeing the new academy starting out, enjoying football, smiling and laughing whilst they play, wanting to come back each week, also with the older Tigers, seeing them progressing each week, learning new things, transitioning into the mens game is amazing. I was one of those dads on the side lines for years, wanting to get involved, kept putting it off, it’s one of the best things I have ever done and wish I’d done it sooner 🐯
