Why did you join Thurlby Tigers FC? 

My eldest son started playing at a young age (u6) due to friends attending TTFC. The rest, they say, is history!

Welfare Lead & Coach

What coaching qualifications do you have?

FA Level 1.

What do you enjoy most/least about the role you play for your club?

Most – Matchday, love the buzz and the players all suited and booted ready to go!

Least – Parents who ‘coach their child’ and shout at referees. Just the worst!

What is your favourite Thurlby Tigers memory?

TTFC U12s winning promotion with a 5-4 win at the last game of the season! Was absolutely superb.

Which professional team do you support?

The Mighty Posh.

Who have you played football for?

Bourne Town Reserves, RAF First Team, Dunfermline! (long story)

Which do you prefer, coaching or playing? Why?

Dunfermline v Celtic U13s – so may spectators and an incredible atmosphere, was a great day!

What is the biggest game you have ever played in or coached?

Coaching – have a greater sense of responsibility for the whole team and watching them all come together and develop.

Who is your footballing hero?

Alan Shearer.

What three things would you take on a desert island and why?

  • A football (for obvious reasons!)
  • Something to listen to music and The Rest is Football podcast on
  • I guess I’d better take the family with me :0)
