What do you enjoy most / least about the role you play for the club?
Most – Watching a great bunch of boys coming together to play football and having a really good time whilst doing it.

Why did you join Thurlby Tigers FC?
My boys wanted to join a football team with their friends and Thurlby Tigers FC gave us the opportunity to start a brand new team from scratch.
How long have you been associated to and volunteering for the club?
Since 2023.
What is your favourite Tigers memory?
Not a memory as such, but seeing how the boys have developed from some never having kicked a ball, to where they are now. Still a long way to go but they’re improving all the time.
What Professional Team do you Support?
Norwich City (I’m a glutton for punishment!).
Who did / do you play football for?
A few semi-professional teams in my younger days and then played for the RAF team on occasions.
Biggest game you’ve ever played in or coached?
Coaching our first Thurlby Tigers U7s Whites game. Way more tense for that then any cup finals I’ve ever played in!
Coaching or Playing? And Why?
They’re both so different and I get real enjoyment from both. I used to love playing, but alas, I think my body is better suited to coaching than playing these days!
Who is/was your footballing hero?
Never really had one in particular and if I said someone it would really show my age!
What three things would you take on a desert island and why?
- Family
- Food
- Drink…
…Then it would be like one massive holiday over and over again!
