TTFC Presentation Day

1st May 2021

2021-22 Presentation Day

With just 3 weeks to go to the presentation day on Saturday 21st May,  please see a few more details below. If you have any questions please speak to your coach, they will be happy to help!

Refreshments

there will be various options including a BBQ which will start with breakfast rolls,  and Chloe’s Brownies will be offering delicious Brownies, cookies and cupcakes! Please support if at all possible by having your breakfast, lunch or a brownie/cookie and coffee with us! There will also be a small bar, which may be particularly welcome if the sun graces us with its presence!  Any proceeds we can raise will go directly to Club funds – thank you in advance.

Fun

There will be a large bouncy Inflatable at modest cost, as well as a competition to win an excellent prize thanks to our sponsor Smiths Nissan of Peterborough – look out for details by the car display!!

Volunteers

Thank you for those who contacted me from the U8 age group! I will email you separately, your help is very much appreciated!

If there are any volunteers for the U5/U6/U7 session or the U10/U11 session I would be pleased to hear from you! Half an hour helping give out food or drinks would be very welcome – you won’t be asked to empty bins or clean the toilets! And we will of course plan rotas, so you are ‘free’ at the presentation time for your player! If you can help please do drop me a line as soon as you can – thank you.

IMPORTANT – CASH ONLY EVENT

Please note all stalls will be able to accept CASH ONLY, we do not possess contactless. Please remember to bring cash – we will have coin floats, but if you’re able to bring £2/£1 and 50p coins to spend as well, that would be very helpful!

Parking

there will be many more people than a standard training session or match – if it is at all possible to walk, bike, car share or park at the Methodist church on High Street, it would be really appreciated – not only will it probably be quicker than trying to drive up to the Park, it really does help the Tigers keep a good relationship with the Village! Thank you!

Timings

Your coach will guide the Pitch session and break 5 minutes or so before their presentation time. The presentation times in particular have to be prompt – we have so many teams we need to give everyone a fair chance! So please see below the plan for the day:

And finally – please help with our:

Boots for Roots Appeal

The most important thing is to keep grassroots players playing.

Boots for Roots is set up to provide boots and other personal football equipment for grassroots players.

With the rising cost of living, many families will be feeling the pinch and unfortunately that may mean some grassroots players will be training in equipment that may not be adequate for the surface they are playing on – or sadly in some cases, players may be singled out because they are not wearing the right kit.

We will encourage players , parents and companies to donate any unused equipment, or donate funds to help supply grassroots players with safe equipment to keep them playing.

We will have a couple of big boxes in the foyer at Lawrance Park Hall at the Presentation Day, on Saturday 21st May.

We will gratefully accept any donations of unwanted boots, shinpads, goalkeeper gloves etc at presentation day. Or if equipment is in use on the day, please pass your donation via coaches at a later date.

Parents can contact us with requests for boots, shin pads etc, and any other equipment they may need. The Club’s contact is Lewis Brampton, coach with the Under 8 White squad.  He will leave contact details on the day, or please email me and I will pass on to Lewis.

All correspondence between Boots for Roots and parents will be confidential.
