New TTFC sponsor

A local carpentry and joinery specialist has linked up with Thurlby Tigers Football Club to sponsor a new playing kit.

Max Parry, owner of Property Improvements, has funded branded shirts and hoodies, shorts and socks, for Tigers’ Under 13 Orange team for the 2023-24 season as last season’s champions of the Peterborough Junior Alliance League Division 4 begin life in Division 3.

The Tigers’ players enjoyed a photoshoot in their new kit ahead of their opening-day victory over Wittering Harriers at Lawrence Park.

“I sponsored the team as a way of putting something back into the club,” Max said. “I have been following the team since my son joined at the age of five, and that team has developed very well with the coaches’ tuition. They are growing young men, and whilst the last kit served them two very good years, the opportunity came along to be a new sponsor for new kit which I was only too happy to support.”

Under 13 Orange team manager Phil Smith added: “Grassroots football, in fact any grassroots sport, is entirely dependent on volunteers and this includes parents/carers and extended family and friends coming forward to support clubs in areas such as sponsorship and fundraising. We would like to thank Max and Property Improvements for their backing. Thurlby Tigers is a community football club and these relationships with local businesses are so important to everything we are striving to do.”
