Thank you for sponsoring the team/club. Why did you decide to do so?
I have two children who are both loving playing their football with Thurlby Tigers. We had some challenges at some other local Clubs, but since the move to Thurlby they are both really enjoying their football again. I was delighted to be able to give something back when the opportunity came up. We were able to design the kit with the parents and the players so we got something that we are all really happy with.
What have been, or what do you expect to be, the benefits of sponsorship for your business?
From a business perspective, as a property developer probably very little, especially as we don’t build in this area (yet!). I didn’t do it for a benefit to my business, more to give something back to the teams and the football Club.
Tell us about your ‘stand out’ Thurlby Tigers moment.
Both of the boys playing for the first time in their Thurlby Tigers kit has been special, but my son wearing the kit I sponsored and played so well and scored on its first outing! That was a great moment, but I’m sure there’s many more to come!
